The world famous Santa Barbara is the American Riviera, with all the cultural and culinary delights of Provence or Tuscany, has been named as one of the only U.S. twelve cities elected in 2009 the National Historic Preservation Fund of the Treasury.

Grapes are California's number one finished agricultural product, and the Golden State 95% of U.S. exports wines contribute greatly to jobs, economy and culture, and this wine producing region is one of the most popular in the state. The famous wine critic Robert Parker predicted to be the "next Napa.

Farmers Market is a strong local reminiscent of Provence and Tuscany, too. Every Tuesday throughout the 500 and 600 blocks of Old Town State Street between 4 pm and 7:30 pm a dazzling array of colorful products, flowers, artisan breads and cheeses, and street musicians called the famous local chefs and local foodies alike.

And as in France and Italy, wine and food festivals are very popular here, too, with the main event important is the California Wine Festival scheduled for July and 16-18 to benefit the Food Bank of Santa Barbara in the country.
