The cheapest transfer option in central London is to use the London Underground. The Piccadilly line runs to Heathrow. As the Heathrow Express, two stations, one for Terminal 4, one central station for terminals 1,2 and 3.
Journey time is approximately 45 minutes in central London and there are a number of stations on the way in which trains stop at. There is a train roughly every 3-4 minutes. There will be a subway station somewhere near your destination.
