Where in Hawaii can expect to get the most for our money?

Ed Lee: Hawaii has a wide variety of accommodations in all price ranges price including bed & breakfasts, hotels and condominiums. The city of Waikiki has more condos and hotels you can find a moderate number of hotels if you please spend three or four blocks from the beach. Maui, however, has more hotel rooms condominiums. The moderately priced hotels and condos are in the southern region Kihei. Kihei properties are conveniently located in the streets of public beaches. Kauai and the Big Island of Hawaii have fewer options for moderate hotels and condominiums. Moderate in Kauai hotels can be found north of Lihue airport along the coast of Kapaa coconut. Moderate hotels on the Big Island of Hawaii can be found in the area Kailua Kona on the western side of the island.

When is the best time of year to go to Hawaii?

Ed: Hawaii is a great destination with a warm and mild climate most of the year. Rainfall varies with the location of most of the season. The western and southern regions of the islands, the leeward side, conditions are drier and more sunny with calm waters. The rainy season is from November to April. You will find a storm, sometimes during the winter, but much of the rain is brief showers during the day followed by a rainbow.

Hawaii has several travel peak season, January to March, June to August, Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons. The higher prices and increased demand for these trips are in high season travel.

Do you have any favorite gems "hidden" in Hawaii?

Ed: You can find hidden gems in most of the Hawaiian Islands. The Outrigger Royal Kahana Maui is good value which lies just north of the more expensive hotels in Kaanapali Beach. Is a condo with a full kitchen in all units and is near shops, restaurants and golf courses.

The Miramar At Waikiki is a moderate hotel in the href = "http://www.thebigday.com/Travel/HawaiiGuide/Oahu.asp"> island of Oahu, with an excellent location. It is a few blocks from the beach and in the heart of Waikiki, close to shops, restaurants and public transport.

Turtles and fish can be found in tide pools and coral formations the complex and is a great place for snorkeling.
